Lithuanian President, Georgian Speaker Discussed Elections

President of Lithuania Rolandos Paksas, who started his official visit to Georgia on September 11, met with Parliamentary Chairperson Nino Burjanadze today.

Burjanadze informed the Lithuanian President with the pre-election process in the country.

?I hope Georgia will manage to hold fair and democratic elections and elect the political group, whom the people trusts most of all,? Rolandos Paksas said after the meeting.

The President said that the Lithuanian observers will arrive in Georgia to monitor the November 2 parliamentary elections.
