Vice-Speaker Believes Factions Try to Impede the Parliamentary Activity

(Tbilisi, May 22, 2003. Civil Georgia) – Vice-Speaker of the Parliament Gigi Tsereteli believes that certain factions are intending to impede the Parliament’s legislative activities.

“I have talked about attempts to discredit the Parliament two days ago. Obviously, certain factions do not wish the discussions of such important issues, such as amendments to the Election Code, to take place” – Gigi Tsereteli said today, while trying to open the Parliament’s session.

Vice-Speaker demanded to read the list of the MPs, to find out who is not attending the session.
