Azeri, Georgian, Russian Border Guards Hold Joint Maneuvers

(Tbilisi. February 26, 2003. Civil Georgia) – Border guards from Azerbaijan, Georgia and Russia hold joint exercises in Russia?s North Caucasian city of Kaspiisk on February 26-28.

Three unites of Georgian Border Guard Department participate in the maneuvers. Commander of the Staff of the Border Guard Department Korneli Salia leads the Georgian unites in the exercises.

During the maneuvers representatives of the Border Guard Departments of the three Caucasian states will discuss issue of reinforcement of the borders in order to prevent movement of the armed groups across the borders.
