Parliament Rejects to Discuss Proposal on Minimal Salary
(Tbilisi, January 17, 2003. Civil Georgia) – Parliament voted for postponement of discussion of the opposition faction United Democrat’s proposal to increase minimal salary to the subsistence level.
The United Democrats wanted to discuss the proposal before discussion of the 2003 draft budget so that the government could consider additional funds for the increased minimal salary to subsistence level, which is 115 Lari per month.
