Georgian, Russian Foreign Ministers Discussed Situation in Abkhazia
(Tbilisi, January 14, 2003. Civil Georgia) – Foreign Ministers of Georgia and Russia discussed the recent developments in Georgia’s breakaway Abkhazia during the phone conversation, Georgia and Russian Foreign Ministries reported today.
Igor Ivanov and Irakli Menagharishvili also discussed the Russian President’s personal envoy Valeri Loshchinin’s recent visit to Abkhazia.
Russo-Georgian relations become tenser after Russia unilaterally reopened the railway connection with Abkhazia on December 25.
