Tbilisi, Batumi Discussed Budgetary Problems

(Tbilisi, December 25, 2002. Civil Georgia) – Georgian State Minister Avtandil Jorbenadze and the leader of the Adjarian Autonomous Republic Aslan Abashidze discussed budgetary problems in Batumi, Adjarian capital, on December 24.

Autonomous Republic refuses to transfer tax incomes in the central budget of the country, despite Tbilisi’s categorical demand.

During the negotiations Abashidze and Jorbenadze agreed to form a governmental commission, which will work on the issue.
