15 Georgians Abducted in Abkhazia

(Tbilisi, September 9, 2002 Civil Georgia) – Reports said on September 8 that Abkhazians abducted 15 Georgian civilians from Chuburkhinji village in Gali district of breakaway Abkhazia.

According to the unofficial reports kidnappers demand release of one Abkhazian, allegedly abducted by the Georgian partisans. Officials do not confirm the information so far.
