President to Make Annual Report in the Parliament by the End of September

(Tbilisi, September 3, 2002, Civil Georgia) – Parliamentary Chairperson Nino Burjanadze stated at the bureau meeting today that President Shevardnadze intends to make his annual report on situation in the country by September 24-27. The exact date is unknown yet.

The President makes his annual speech in the Parliament traditionally in every spring. But in 2002 he postponed report that caused protest in opposition, which claimed that the President had nothing to tell the Parliament and population.
