USA, Russia Negotiate on Joint Military Operation in Pankisi?

(Tbilisi, February 20, Civil Georgia) – Russian media sources report on February 20, that USA and Russia negotiate on possible joint antiterrorist operation in Pankisi gorge.

Georgian State Security Minister Valeri Khaburdzania stated today that joint military operation in Pankisi is not intended.

Khaburdzania said that Georgia is able to deal with the problem independently.

Georgian Internal Affairs Minister Koba Narchemashvili stated on February 20 that there is no need for military operation in Pankisi gorge.
