The “New Right Wing” Demands Resignation of Parliamentary Chairperson

(Tbilisi. December 18. Civil Georgia) – The Parliamentary faction “New Right Wing” expresses no-confidence towards the Parliamentary Chairperson Nino Burjanadze.

The faction protests against appointment of Burjanadze’s husband, Badri Bitsadze the Deputy Prosecutor General.

Chairman of the faction Davit Gamkrelidze pinpointed his resentment of concentrating too much power in a single family. “Formation of one more clan is unacceptable” Gamkrelidze announced at the Parliamentary session.

The New Rightists faction left the session and refused to attend it until Bitsadze or the Parliamentary Chairperson resign.
