200 Guerrillas Blocked in Kodori Gorge, Abkhazia

Abkhazian military units surrounded 200 Chechen and Georgian guerrillas in Kodori gorge, Abkhazia, Russian news service Interfax reports, quoting Vice-President of self-declared Republic of Abkhazia Valeri Arshba.

“Negotiations with Georgian government will be held only when Tbilisi withdraws combined Georgian-Chechen fighters from Abkhazia”, Arshba stated.

Georgian authorities announce that guerrillas are on the territory uncontrolled by the Georgian government thus they are not responsible for the situation in Abkhazia.
