Economy Minister Visits U.S.

Georgian Economy Minister Giorgi Arveladze left for the United States to, as he put it, boost trade ties between the two countries.

The signing of an air service treaty, which will give the go-ahead to civil aviation between the two countries, is planned during the visit, according to the Georgian Economy Ministry.

?We will also have very important meetings with both political and business circles,? Arveladze told reporters before his departure.
