Georgia Condemns Secessionist Speakers Summit in Moscow

The Georgian Foreign Ministry has condemned meeting of Parliament Speakers of breakaway Abkhazia, South Ossetia and Transdnestria in Moscow and protested against participation of Russian Vice-Speaker and parliamentarians in this meeting on July 4.

The Georgian Foreign Ministry said that ?pro-separatist rhetoric? of Russian parliamentarians raise serious doubts that Russia?s support for Georgia?s territorial integrity ?has only a declaratory character and has nothing in common with the actual political course pursued by Russia with respect to Georgia.?

?The use of such double standards is totally inadmissible in civilized inter-state relations since such acts lead peace processes into a deadlock,? a statement issued by the Georgian Foreign Ministry on July 4 reads.
