UN Envoy, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Discuss Abkhazia

UN Secretary General?s Special Representative to Georgia Heidi Tagliavini met with Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Grigory Karasin in Moscow on May 2, the Russian Foreign Ministry reported.

The sides discussed the issue of Abkhaz conflict resolution and stressed the importance of cooperation between the UN Observer Mission in Georgia and the CIS Peacekeeping Troops stationed in breakaway Abkhazia.
