Ethnic Azeris Protest against Local Authorities

Residents of the Gardabani district in the Kvemo Kartli region, mainly ethnic Azerbaijanis, held today a protest rally against the local authorities. They demanded fair distribution of land.

The local authorities said they were ready to meet the requirements of the residents and claimed the rally was connected with the upcoming elections. 

Analogous rally was held in early September in a Jandara village of eastern Georgia, which is also populated with ethnic Azerbaijanis.
