Kidnapped 12-year-old Boy Released

(Tbilisi February 18, 2003. Civil Georgia) – Reports say today Giorgi Sardanadze, 12, held in detention by the kidnappers for 6 days, was released. The law enforcers refrain to reveal the details of the release.

Giorgi Sardanadze was abducted in Zestaponi, western Georgia on February 12, while returning from school.

Sardanadzes family was blackmailed for several times to pay ransom otherwise criminals threatened to kidnap one of the members of the family.
