Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili appointed today Shalva Tadumadze as new head of the Georgian government’s administration, replacing Maia Tskitishvili, who served at the post from November 2012.

Tadumadze, 40, has worked as the government’s parliamentary secretary since October 2012. Prior to that, he had worked as a lawyer for almost a decade.

Speaking at the government sitting today, PM Kvirikashvili said Shalva Tadumadze “dealt very well” with his tasks as the government’s parliamentary secretary and demonstrated “high professionalism.”

The post of the head of the Georgian government’s administration became vacant on March 30, when Maia Tskitishvili was appointed as new Regional Development and Infrastructure Minister.
