France Hails ‘Progress’ in Georgia-Russia WTO Talks

The French Foreign Ministry hailed "the progress" made in the Swiss-mediated talks between Tbilisi and Moscow over Russia’s WTO entry terms.

"We particularly welcome that Georgia accepted the recent proposals of the Swiss mediator," the French Foreign Ministry said on October 28. "We reaffirm our full support for Russian accession to the WTO and hope that the Russian authorities will soon be able to accept the [Swiss] proposals."
