Georgia is continuing consultations with foreign diplomats to arrange a trip to upper Kodori Gorge despite Russia?s protest, the Georgian Foreign Ministry said on September 26.
Tbilisi?s initiative to invite foreign diplomats to upper Kodori Gorge for a fact-finding visit is ?a dangerous and untimely? move, the Russian Foreign Ministry warned on September 26.
?This initiative of Georgia is a kind of feedback for foreign diplomats? interest in the developments taking place in Kodori Gorge. Foreign diplomats have repeatedly appealed to the Georgian Foreign Ministry for the opportunity to obtain first-hand knowledge of the situation on the ground.
