Saakashvili: Russian Bases do not Serve the Region’s Security
Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili said on April 22, while addressing the GUAM summit in Chisinau, that Georgia and Moldova should demand the pullout of Russian military bases from their territories in the shortest period of time.
?The Russian military bases [deployed in Georgia] go against the will of the Georgian nation. Their presence does not serve regional security,? Saakashvili said.
