Georgia’s Inclusion in the Anti-Iran Coalition not Discussed

(Tbilisi, May 29 2003, Civil Georgia) “We have not received any requests from the US regarding Georgia’s integration in the anti-Iran coalition, as reported by Russian mass media, – Georgian President’s Press-Secretary Kakha Imnadze told journalists on May 29. 

He is not surprised at the dissemination of misleading information by Russian mass media, since the latter has its own way to various issues, especially to those about combating terrorism.

“The information about conduction of any US-Georgian talks in this regard is not real”, – Imnadze said.

For two days on end Russian mass media was reporting about the US’s intention to attack upon Iran and overthrow Islamic regime there, as well as to use Iraq as a bridgehead for offensive strokes and involve Azerbaijan and Georgia in the military operation.
