Anticorruption Council’s New Secretary
(Tbilisi, May 22, Civil Georgia) – President Shevardnadze appointed Kakha Ugulava on the post of secretary of the Anticorruption Committee today.
Ugulava replaced Mirian Gogiashvili who took the position of Finance Minister couple weeks ago.
Kakha Ugulava used to be the deputy secretary of the Council and thus he has an experience in working in this field, President Shevardnadze stated at today’s government meeting. Ugulava was recommended on the post by Gogiashvili, the former secretary.
Together with the new position the new chief of Anticorruption Council became a member of the State Security Council also.
