President Offers Parliament Finance and Tax Ministries’ Reunification

President Shevardnadze signed a decree on reunification of the Finance and Tax Revenue Ministries and submitted draft to the Parliament on May 7.

At the Parliamentary Bureau meeting today President’s Parliamentary Secretary Mariam Tsatsanashvili requested leaders of the Parliamentary factions and the Committees to discuss the draft this week.

President Shevardnadze stated on May 6 that he intends to nominate Mirian Gogiashvili, Chairman of the Anti-Corruption Council on the post of the Minister.
