Reformers Against Patarkatsishvili’s Credit
(Tbilisi. December 13. Civil Georgia) – Reformers team is against taking $1 million credit from businessman Badri Patarkatsishvili who granted this sum to Tbilisi municipality to cover the debt of natural gas. In case the debt would not be given to “Sakgazi”, company supplying Tbilisi with natural gas, would cease providing gas to the population.
MP Vano Merabishvili considers that the Tbilisi municipality will not be able to cover the credit in three years, thus Patarkatsishvili will obtain all the companies having debt of the municipality.
Badri Patarkatsishvili, former financial director of the national ORT TV channel and aide of Russia’s financial tycoon Boris Berezovsky’s is wanted in Russia for making an attempt of jailbreak of former first vice-president of “Aeroflot” national airlines. Patarkatsishvili arrived in Tbilisi couple months ago and allegedly began buying shares of the independent media sources.
Russia’s Prosecutor General’s office officially addressed Georgia for extradition of Badri Patarkatsishvili in November.
