President Calls State Minister’s Candidature off

(Tbilisi. November 28. Civil Georgia) – President Shevardnadze calls Levan Dzneladze’s candidature off the State Minister’s post. Eduard Shevardnadze changed his mind and decided to nominate Dzneladze on the post of the Tex Revenue Minister after the meeting with the Parliamentary factions’ leaders on November 28.

Majority of the factions were against Dzneladze’s candidature on the State Minister’s post. It is unknown who will be the President’s new nominee on the post.

Levan Dzneladze was the Minister of Tax Revenue before November 1, when the President sacked the entire government as the result of the mass protests.
