Gabrichidze – Still Candidate on the General Prosecutor’s Post

(Tbilisi. November 20. Civil Georgia) – The State Chancellery denies that the President called off the candidature of Nugzar Gabrichidze on the post of the Prosecutor-General. President Shevardnadze’s Parliamentary Secretary Valeri Khaburdzania denied the information as well.

Today reports said that President Shevardnadze changed his mind and called Gabrichidz’s candidature off. President Shevardnadze proposed the candidature to the Parliament on November 19.

It is most likely that the Parliament will not approve Internal Affairs Ministry high official Nugzar Gabrichidze’s candidature.
