Weekly Review of the Parliament’s Plenary Sessions. Extraordinary Session, July 27, 2001

Extraordinary Session of the Parliament started with the words of condolence of tragic death of journalist of TV company “Rustavi 2” Giorgi Sanaia. The parliamentarians stood in one-minute silence in honor of deceased journalist.

Speaker of the Parliament called upon law enforcement structures to rapidly and objectively investigate this ‘vandal case’.

Vakhtang Bochorishvili, leader of the faction “XXI Century” was among numerous parliamentarians, who supported Speaker’s pathos.

The session has been suspended to express the solidarity and compassion of the Parliament. The session would resume on Monday.
