New Governor of Kakheti Region Appointed

PM Giorgi Kvirikashvili appointed Irakli Kadagishvili as new governor of Kakheti, region in eastern Georgia.

Kadagishvili, who was with the Free Democrats opposition party before quitting it in July, has replaced Irakli Shiolashvili as new governor of Kakheti.

Shiolashvili is running for majoritarian MP seat from ruling GDDG party in a single-member district uniting Signagi and Dedoplistskaro municipalities in Kakheti.
