Georgian, Polish Parliament Speakers Meet in Ł?dź

Georgian parliament speaker Davit Usupashvili met speaker of Poland’s lower house of parliament Marek Kuchcinski on January 24 on the sideline of ninth Europe-Ukraine Forum in the central Polish city of Łódź.

Bilateral cooperation, Georgia’s European and Euro-Atlantic integration and NATO summit in Warsaw were discussed. 

Georgian parliament speaker’s office said that Usupashvili “expressed confidence that under the new government in Poland relations between Georgia and Poland will further intensify … and Poland will continue supporting Georgia.”

Also on January 24 Usupashvili addressed the ninth Europe-Ukraine Forum and said that for both Georgia and Ukraine European choice is “existential”; he said Georgia’s experience suggests that in the process of reforms Ukraine should focus on identifying right priorities in order not get “lost in endless cycles of reforms” with rule of law being on top of those priorities.
