Georgian President Condemns Ankara Bomb Attack
Georgian President, Giorgi Margvelashvili, has condemned twin explosions at a peace march in Turkey’s capital Ankara on October 10 that killing more than 80 people.
“I am appalled by the terrorist act in Ankara that killed dozens of people. The Georgian authorities and people unequivocally condemn all forms of terrorism. Along with the international community we continue struggle against it, which is one of the biggest threats,” President Margvelashvili said in a statement.
“At this difficult time, on behalf of the Georgian people I express condolences to the families of the victims, and also express firm support towards the people and government of Turkey,” the Georgian President said.
In a separate statement PM Irakli Garibashvili also said he’s “appalled by the terrorist act in the Turkish capital.”
“The entire world should get united in fight against terrorism,” the PM said.
