Georgian Fighting for Ukraine Killed at Shyrokyne
A Georgian national, Giorgi Janelidze, who was fighting on the Ukrainian side, was killed in combat at the village of Shyrokyne, just east from the port city of Mariupol on April 18.
Janelidze was fighting alongside the Azov Battalion; another Georgian was wounded, according to Georgians fighting on the Ukrainian side.
This is the fourth reported fatality among Georgians fighting in Ukraine – three of them were fighting on the Ukrainian side and one on the side of the Russian-backed separatists.
