Georgian Parliament Speaker Visits U.S.
Georgian Parliament speaker Davit Usupashvili has left for a week-long visit to the United States.
He plans a meeting on March 2 with U.S. assistant secretary of state for European and Eurasian affairs, Victoria Nuland, who visited Tbilisi last month.
Accompanied by GD MP Tedo Japaridze, chairman of foreign affairs committee, Usupashvili will also have meetings with the Congress, according to the Georgian parliament’s press office.
Usupashvili is also expected to speak at two separate events at Washington-based Atlantic Council think tank and at the Georgetown University.
