German Foreign Minister to Visit Georgia
German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier will visit Tbilisi on December 8-9.
He will meet his Georgian counterpart Tamar Beruchashvili, as well as PM Irakli Garibashvili and President Giorgi Margvelashvili, according to the German embassy in Tbilisi.
It will be the German Foreign Minister’s second visit to Georgia this year. Steinmeier visited Tbilisi together with his French counterpart Laurent Fabius in April, 2014.

In an interview with Die Welt am Sonntag, German Chancellor Angela Merkel accused Russia of “creating problems” for Moldova Georgia and Ukraine as they seek closer ties with the EU.
During the German Foreign Minister’s visit an agreement will be signed on handing over to the German side a plot of land for construction of the German international school in Tbilisi, according to the German embassy.
