Georgian PM Visits United Arab Emirates
Georgian PM Irakli Garibashvili is visiting United Arab Emirates (UAE) on September 16-17.
He will start his trip by visiting Abu Dhabi, where he will meet emirate’s crown prince Abu Dhabi Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, as well as UAE’s Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, who is chairman of Dhabi Group, which also has investments in Georgia, among them in the banking sector; the group owns Kor Standard Bank.
The Georgian PM will also visit Dubai, where he will meet UAE’s PM and ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and will then visit Ras Al Khaimah emirate, according to the Georgian PM’s office. Ras Al Khaimah’s investment fund, RAKIA, owns minority share in Georgia’s port of Poti and also runs Poti free industrial zone.
The Georgian delegation also includes Economy Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili; Foreign Minister Maia Panjikidze and CEO of Georgian Co-Investment Fund Giorgi Bachiashvili.
