Abkhaz CEC: Khajimba Wins Presidential Poll
Raul Khajimba has received 50.57% of votes in the August 24 elections and is set to become breakaway Abkhazia’s fourth president, according to early official results released by Central Election Commission (CEC) in early hours of Monday morning.
Aslan Bzhania, ex-head of the state security service, trails behind with up to 36%, followed by ex-defense minister Merab Kishmaria and ex-interior minister Leonid Dzapshba with 6.4% and 3.4%, respectively.
