Georgia Appoints Ambassador to UK
President Giorgi Margvelashvili appointed on July 7 Revaz Gachechiladze as ambassador to the United Kingdom
The post has been vacant for year and a half.
Gachechiladze, a professor of geography, who joined the Georgian Foreign Ministry in 1997, served as Georgia’s ambassador to Israel in 1998-2004 and then as ambassador to Armenia till 2009.
