Israeli Interior Minister Visits Georgia

Israeli Interior Minister Gideon Sa’ar, who is paying a three-day visit to Georgia, met with PM Irakli Garibashvili and Interior Minister Alexander Tchikaidze on April 24.

Discussions, according to PM’s office, focused on bilateral cooperation, including in combating crime, as well as on the issue of non-visa travel rules between the two countries, which starting from mid-March allows Georgian citizens to stay in Israel without visas for up to 90 days. Israeli citizens have been enjoying non-visa rules with Georgia since 2005.
 
Also on April 24, the Israeli Interior Minister met head of the Georgian Orthodox Church, Patriarch Ilia II.

During the visit he will also meet Foreign Minister Maia Panjikidze and Justice Minister Tea Tsulukiani.
