FM: Tbilisi Verifying Reports on Invitation of S.Ossetian Leader at Sochi Olympics

Georgian Foreign Minister, Maia Panjikidze, said Tbilisi is verifying reports about invitation of breakaway South Ossetia’s leader Leonid Tibilov at the opening of the Sochi Winter Olympic Games.

“This information has been reported by the media sources. We want to verify it through official channels and the Foreign Ministry is currently working on it. We will take a relevant decision after receiving official information,” said Panjikidze, who is now in Brussels, accompanying PM Garibashvili.
