Swiss President Visits Georgia

Swiss President and Foreign Minister, Micheline Calmy-Rey, started on Sunday a two-day official visit to Georgia.

She will meet with President Saakashvili; Foreign Minister Grigol Vashadze; PM Nika Gilauri and with Parliamentary Chairman David Bakradze.

With the diplomatic ties cut between Georgia and Russia, Switzerland represents Georgia’s diplomatic interests in Moscow and the diplomatic interests of Russia in Tbilisi since 2009.
