Bakradze Meets NATO Secretary General

Georgian Parliamentary Chairman, Davit Bakradze, met with NATO Secretary General, Anders Fogh Rasmussen, in Brussels on June 23.

“Stance is very positive towards Georgia,” Bakradze said after the meeting. “It is very important for us that there was a clear-cut position on the part of the Secretary General and all ambassadors about Georgia’s occupied territories, about [support] of Georgia’s territorial integrity. We have discussed those particular steps which can be taken in frames of NATO to put an end to occupation and to protect the principle of Georgia’s territorial integrity.”
