Georgia’s GDP Declines 3.9%

Georgia’s GDP declined 3.9% to GEL 17.948 billion in 2009, from GEL 19.074 billion in 2008, the statistics office, Geostat, said on March 26.

Per capita GDP was GEL 4,092 (USD 2,450) last year, in comparison with GEL 4,353 (USD 2,921) in 2008, according to Geostat.

The government forecasts 2% growth in 2010.
