Georgia’s Ambassador to Azerbaijan Resigns

Georgia’s ambassador to Azerbaijan, Ivane Noniashvili, resigned two months after being appointed on the position.

The Georgian Foreign Ministry said Noniashvili himself filed for resignation; but reasons behind the decision have not been reported. Noniashvili could not be reached for the comment.

Before the Parliament approved Noniashvili on the ambassadorial post on November 17, he served as head of the President’s press office.
