FSB Says Militants Receive Funds from Georgia Too
Militants operating in Russia’s Dagestan are receiving funding from number of foreign countries including from Georgia, Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) unit in the North Caucasus republic said.
Russian news agency, RIA Novosti, reported on January 1, that FSB found “a cashbook” of four militants, killed by the federal forces in Khasavyurt on December 31, which included information about funding and expanses of the militant group, as well as information about “channels of money transfers” from Georgia, United Arab Emirates, Turkey and Azerbaijan.
