Georgia Economy Contracted 4% in 2009

PM Nika Gilauri said on December 30, that according to preliminary information Georgia’s economy contracted 4% this year.

He said that the fourth quarter of 2009 was “positive in terms of economic activities”.

Final, exact data will be available by March or April, 2010, MP Gilauri said.

The government expects 2% growth in 2010.
