PM: Georgia Ready for Starting Talks on Free Trade with EU

Prime Minister, Nika Gilauri, said on September 2, that Georgia had prepared all the necessary proposals and documents required for launching talks with EU on free trade agreement.

“A comprehensive work has been done by the Foreign Ministry, Agriculture Ministry, as well as by the Prime Minister’s office. All the documents are prepared so that to be ready for launching the talks,” PM Gilauri said at a government’s session.

“Everything is fulfilled on our part for launching talks on free trade agreement with European Union,” he added.

Economy Minister, Zurab Pololikashvili, said that Georgian and EU officials will meet in Brussels on September 23 to discuss the matter.
