New Ambassadors to NATO, Armenia Approved
The Georgian Parliament approved on June 26 Grigol Mgaloblishvili and Grigol Tabatadze as new ambassadors to NATO and Armenia, respectively.
Grigol Mgaloblishvili, who held the Prime Minister’s post for only three months, was Georgia’s ambassador to Turkey before becoming PM in November, 2008. Mgaloblishvili replaced Revaz Beshidze on the position of Georgia’s envoy to NATO.
Grigol Tabatadze, a career diplomat, replaced Revaz Gachechiladze on the position of Georgian ambassador to Armenia.
