Maestro TV Says to Expand Coverage Area

Tbilisi-based pro-opposition, Maestro TV, said it would be available to viewers in five towns of western Georgia this week.

Mamuka Glonti, owner of the television station told Civil.Ge on May 18 that Maestro TV would be available in Kutaisi, the second largest city in Georgia; as well as in Batumi; Poti; Senaki and Zestaponi, through local cable television providers.

Currently Maestro TV goes out on the cable in Tbilisi, Rustavi and also in the town of Telavi in eastern region of Kakheti. The television station’s most popular show, Cell No. 5, hosted by singer and activist Giorgi Gachechiladze has turned into one of the key elements of the ongoing protests.
