Saakashvili to Deliver Annual Address in Parliament

President Saakashvili will deliver his annual state of the nation address in Parliament at 6pm local time on February 12 – five months after the previous on in September.

Unlike his previous three annual addresses, President Saakashvili will now stay in the Parliament chamber after his speech and listen to rebuttals from the parliamentary minority group and will also respond to those rebuttals.

The format was agreed between the lawmakers from the ruling party and the parliamentary minority at a meeting on February 11.
