Saakashvili to Appear on Televised Q&A Session with Public
President Saakashvili will appear in a live televised question and answer session with the Georgian public on January 23.
Questions during the session, which will be aired by the public TV from 3pm to 6pm local time, will be posed by phone, text messages and e-mail.
A live satellite link-up with various locations will also be arranged from where people will be able to ask questions, according to the public TV.
This is for the first time such event, resembling the one hosted by Russia’s PM Vladimir Putin once in a year, is taking place in Georgia.
“Such event will take place in the future as well,” Levan Kubaneishvili, the general director of the public broadcaster, said.
By morning of January 23, 1,000 questions have been posed by phone and over 500 questions have been received through e-mail, according to the public TV.
The Q&A session with the President will be simulcast by other national televisions as well.
