Putin: Tbilisi was Guided by Stalin’s Principles
The Georgian authorities tried to resolve its problem of territorial integrity “through the Stalin’s principle – no man, nor problem,” Vladimir Putin, Russia’s Prime Minister, said.
“And they were bombing civilian settlements, killing civilians,” RIA Novosti news agency reported quoting Putin, who was speaking at a conference on international humanitarian law in St. Petersburg on November 24. “It was tough, large-scale and indiscriminate attack. And Russia had to protect both its peacekeepers and innocent civilians.”
